In just a matter of weeks, the coronavirus pandemic has taken the globe by storm. We hope this blog finds you healthy, and that you and your loved ones are able to keep your immune systems strong. It cannot be stressed enough how important it is to exercise active physical distancing and institute self-quarantine in all aspects of your life right now. This social distancing gif gives a clear example of the benefits of keeping to ourselves for the immediate future in order to “flatten the curve” (see image below). We look forward to getting past the curve of the coronavirus and back to normal social interactions.

In the meantime, all GreenLight in-person events and engagements are being converted to virtual. From our student-led project team meetings to our Board of Directors meetings to our monthly Community Mixers, we will be meeting “in the cloud” until further notice. Our organization will be following closely the guidelines set forth by Arizona State University, the Arizona Department of Health Services, and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention.

We are grateful that GreenLight has been a virtual organization from the beginning, utilizing virtual tools like Google Drive, Google Hangouts, Slack, Asana, and many other digital tools that make our organization adaptable and flexible. For us, this makes the transition to respect social distancing and keep our communities safer a much easier process.

Thank you for being proactive about caring for our communities in this time of pandemic concern. Please reach out if you have any questions, concerns, or suggestions, we’ll take them all!

Wishing you good health & well being,
GreenLight Solutions Foundation Board of Directors
